"Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg", "Startup Germany" und "Made in NY Media Center" schreiben zwei Stipendien für das dreimonatige Austauschprogramm " Berlin – New York, New York– Berlin" aus.

Das Media Residency Programm bietet jeweils zwei Stipendien für GründerInnen, Kreative und JungunternehmerInnen der digitalen Medienwirtschaft aus der deutschen Hauptstadtregion und New York. Es richtet sich an Firmen oder Einzelpersonen mit mindestens zwei Jahren Berufserfahrung in der Entwicklung oder Produktion von digitalen Medienprodukten mit Fokus auf Storytelling und Technologie – wie Trans- und Crossmediaprojekte, Games oder Apps.

Der Austausch findet von April bis Juni 2015 statt, Medienschaffende aus den beiden Metropolen haben damit drei Monate lang die Möglichkeit, die Medienlandschaft des jeweils anderen Standortes kennen zu lernen. Dazu gehört unter anderem der Besuch von Branchenevents wie der Berlin Web Week und der Internet Week New York.

Die Stipendien beinhalten Reisekosten, Unterkunft, einen Arbeitsplatz in einem Co-Working Space und ein monatliches Taschengeld. Darüber hinaus wird den StipendiatInnen ein individuell zusammengestelltes Mentoring-Programm geboten.

"Berlin - New York, New York - Berlin" 2015

Media professionals from the Berlin-Brandenburg region and from New York can apply for the new Media Residency Program 2015. The fellowship program was created by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg in partnership with the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, and is being carried out by Startup Germany.

Designed for entrepreneurs, creatives and young digital-economy businesspeople, the Media Residency Program will offer two fellowships to candidates from Germany´s capital region, and another two to residents of New York. It is aimed at companies or individuals with at least two years of work experience in the development or production of digital-media products with a focus on storytelling and technology – for example, through transmedia or cross-media projects, games or apps.

The exchange will take place from April to June 2015. Media professionals from the two cities will thus have a three-month opportunity to get to know the media landscape in their host locations. This will include visits to industry events such as Berlin Web Week and Internet Week New York, among other possibilities.

The fellowship will include travel expenses, accommodation, work space in a co-working facility and a monthly financial allowance. In addition, fellowship recipients will be offered an individually tailored mentoring program.
